About UsOur goal at Haven Community Acupuncture is to provide affordable, effective healthcare in a sustainable environment. The community acupuncture model allows us to do this by spreading the cost of the Acupuncturist's time over several patients. At Haven, we schedule up to 4 patients per hour and treat in a group setting in reclining chairs. We use distal points (primarily on the lower legs and forearms) to ensure patients feel comfortable in the group.

Our Acupuncturist
Chad Powell, L.Ac, is a graduate from the Phoenix Institute of Herbal Medicine and Acupuncture with a 4-year Masters Degree in Oriental Medicine. He is nationally board-certified as a Diplomate of Acupuncture by
the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental
Medicine (NCCAOM), served as Student Body President, and graduated at the top of his class for the extended program. He has continued his education studying Balance Method under Dr. Richard Tan, O.M.D, L.Ac.; Cosmetic Acupuncture with Denise Ellinger, L.Ac.; Master Tung acupuncture with Dr. Wei-Chieh Young, O.M.D., L.Ac.; and Traditional Chinese Medicine for Children with Dr. Qiying Jiang, O.M.D., L.Ac. He also brings a strong background in business with a Bachelors Degree in Business and Information Systems from Utah State University in Logan, Utah.

Parking
There is half hour and 2 hour street parking on adjacent roads, and an unrestricted lot on the North West corner of 1st Street and MacDonald. Other lots are available along Pepper Street east of MacDonald.
